Kiddo, you are twelve years old,and you have a significant amount of potential, so here is my recommendation Get yourself into some creative writing classes and dont stop writing!!! Read and write poetry for the rest of your life. Im a creative writing major myself, and there is nothing better than reading poems from people like you, so welcome to the club! In terms of your writing ability now, you have a lot that you can improve on, and you will definitely need more schooling at it, but as far as I can see, youre WAY ahead of anyone else your age. Rock on! My one recommendation would be that things dont always have to rhyme, but what really impressed me was the rhyme scheme in your first poem, it follows a sonnet form, though it isnt iambic pentameter on and on and on la de da dee da.... well anyhoo, you can feel free to email me if you want to talk more about poetry and writing in general.
