It bothers the CRAP out of me when a woman calls me sweetie. Waitresses I waited tablesbartended forEVER and dont call other women sweetie and store clerks...strangers. Its totally patronizing. How do they know if Im sweet? Maybe Im not. And Im not a child, you call a child sweetie. It doesnt bother me so much when a man does itI just dont get that irritated feeling I do as when woman says it. Its rude.
